iMalc is a fully featured scientific calculator for Macintosh that you can customise to look like your favourite flavour of iMac, iBook, PowerBook, G3, G4 or platinum Mac!
iMalc is available in versions for Macintosh PowerPC, 68k and fat binary.
iMalc features include 18 mathematical functions in addition to the basic operators and a saveable memory.
Functions available:
Natural logarithm and inverse, ex
Sine, cosine, tangent and their inverses arc sine, arc cosine and arc tangent
Square root, x2, yth root of x, xy, 1/x
Percent, Pi and +/- keys

You can customise iMalc to complement your flavour of iMac, iBook, PowerBook, G3, G4 or platinum Mac. The key and display colours change to your favourite flavour.
Choose between:
iBook owners can choose between Blueberry, Tangerine and Graphite, PowerBook owners have the choice of the original Charcoal or the Bronze keyboard Lombard, while G3 and G4 owners are catered for as well as those with an original Platinum Mac.

iMalc remembers the value stored in memory, the flavour and window position on quitting. iMalc, version 1.1.2, is now available for Macintosh PowerPC, 68k and fat binary (runs on both PPC and 68k). Version 1.1.2 is a small bug fix release that fixes the trailing zero input/display bug. Version 1.1.1 is a small bug fix release that fixes the leading zero input/display bug. New features for version 1.1 include: new flavours for iMac Graphite DV SE and iBook Graphite, improved flavours for the iBook, comma as well as period on the keyboard works for the decimal separator, auto resizing of the display text for fonts other than Charcoal, and a couple of bug fixes. Check out the version history. iMalc runs under Mac OS 7.1 and later. It may work on earlier system versions. It requires 4.5Mb of RAM with virtual memory turned off or 4Mb of RAM with virtual memory turned on, and 3.5Mb of hard drive space. You can get by with 2.3Mb of RAM, but if you cycle through all the flavours, you will need 4.5Mb of RAM. iMalc displays best with thousands or millions of colours and using Charcoal as the system font. iMalc comes complete with a Read Me and a comprehensive 71-page instruction manual in pdf format (requires Adobe Acrobat Reader). The manual has jump links for the contents and index pages, and web links for URLs and email addresses. iMalc is shareware. You may try it free for 30 days. The shareware fee is just US$15. Registration is available online, via post, fax or email through Kagi using the enclosed Register iMalc application.
